September Update

Spring has bloomed in Geraldine;

Our vistas are filled with sunny daffodils and pretty blossoms.  Along with a change of season, Go Geraldine is thrilled to launch a change in the look of our newsletter. We hope you like it!  Not only is the look of the newsletter changed, but we are now able to monitor who is viewing our newsletter what they are clicking on what is of interest to our readers so we can provide more incite to our readers needs.

Janene has now settled into her role of coordinator.  One of her key tasks at present is to prepare for the Christchurch A&P Show; a huge task of coordination and planning.  There is still time to secure a stall in the Go Geraldine Marquee at the Show, simply email Janene at info@gogeraldine.co.nz and she will assist you with the options available.

As always we want to hear from you about topics you consider important.  The more we connect, the stronger we grow, the more effective we become as an organisation and the more successful our town becomes.

Introducing

A warm welcome to our new members from:
  • The Cottage Pantry (under the new ownership of Pauline Denzey)
  • Geraldine Toy Library Inc
  • Geraldine Garden Centre
  • Haywood House Montessori
  • Kids Alive Geraldine
We are thrilled to have these organisations join us and look forward to introducing them to the wider membership at the next B@6 meeting in October 2014.

Promote Your Business

Get your brochures on display!

Go Geraldine has a number of well placed brochure stands in and around Geraldine, plus we display member brochures in our marquee at the Christchurch A&P Show each year.

If you would like us to distribute and display your brochures simply drop off a bundle, or a box to Cheryl at Design 123 in Talbot Street by the end of October 2014.

Brochures are an excellent way of introducing potential customers to your organisation and what could be easier than someone else distributing them on your behalf!

Ever thought about a stall at the Arts & Plants Festival?

The Arts & Plants Festival Committee warmly invite Geraldine businesses to consider hosting a stall at the Festival.

The Festival reportedly attracts some 14,000 people to the town each year and the committee conservatively estimates Festival goers contribute $700,000 plus to the local economy over the 3 day Festival period.

Many of the festival visitors some from around the region and beyond, making the festival a great way to showcase local businesses and organisations.

If you would like more information on becoming a stall holder please contact the committee E: gldarts@xtra.co.nz or visit their website click here.

GG Buzz coming your way soon...

Here at Go Geraldine we are all about connecting people.  We have come up with an idea to increase those connections that has got us all a buzz!

In addition to the bi-monthly newsletter, Go Geraldine is going to commence a fortnightly one page news sheet, sent to all members, called GGBUZZ.

The aim of the news sheet is to let everyone know snippets of news about activities happening in our member organisations, around the community and also here at Go Geraldine.

If your organisation is celebrating a notable milestone?  Is a long standing employee retiring?  Are you supporting a local event?  If you have news to share please email us at info@gogeraldine.co.nz and we will include in the next issue of GGBUZZ.
