This is a reminder that North Peace Communications perform's an inbound and outbound test call with our customers before letting them walk away with a Globalstar phone.
Making a test call
1. The phone will only work outside with a clear view of the sky (
the more horizon, the better)
2. Make sure the antenna is rotated properly, fully extended and pointed straight up (
when talking, the phone and antenna should be in the "LAZY L" position as shown below)
3. Make a test call after the registration icon is illuminated
o For a GSP 1600, a lower case "i"
o For a GSP 1700, a red house
4. Press 1 + area code + phone number and SEND (
OR #TEST [#8378]; this is a free TEST call)
