Quick Update
What's been happening?
Hello!
You may be wondering just why this Newsletter is a week or so late. The short answer is that Sara caught the (not quite) deadly ‘ConFlu’ at WorldCon a couple of weeks ago and has only just fully recovered. We won’t bore you with the longer answer, which is exactly the same but goes off on a tangent as to how it was totally worth it.
In a few words, WorldCon (or LonCon3), was pretty amazing. If there’s one thing we love at Inspired Quill, it’s getting out and meeting readers, writers, authors and other publishers. And LonCon3 was the perfect venue for this. We even got to hear some really interesting pitches, and chatted about IQ to plenty of passers-by. (Sara thinks she ought to have bought shares in Strepsils and bottled water on the Saturday!)
Since we got back, we have been working hard on our Submissions pile (which remains open until November 30th), where we have seen some truly fantastic pieces of work from many aspiring authors.
We have also been beavering away with a title we are releasing later this month, E.J. Runyon's 'A House of Light and Stone', so stay tuned to our social media pages for news of what will undoubtedly be an excellent addition to the genre.
That’s all from me for now, but as always, any comments or suggestions are welcomed.
Hannah, Marketing Director
