The CCC Summer Criterium Series is Coming!
It is that time of year again as daylight savings is getting closer, it can only mean one thing, The start of the CCC Summer Criterium Series.
The official start of the program will begin on Wed the 20th October however there will be a couple of events just to wet your appetite and help you to remember that adrenaline feeling you get when racing around the crit track.
Wednesday 6th October
There will be a ‘come and try’ race for those people new to criteriums (approximately 15 minutes) and 3 familiarisation races for those riders who have raced before (easy race(20min), medium race (30 min) and hard race(40min). This will not be an official pointscore race and will only be $2:00 to cover the hire of the crit track.
Wednesday 13th October
This week will be the official launch of the 2010/11 CCC Summer Criterium Series. Here will present all the squads and teams for the season as well as outline the schedule of events for the upcoming races. Hopefully we will have some local identities on board as well as an opportunity to further hone your skills with some further racing.
Both weeks will be a great opportunity to finalise memberships, race numbers and team involvements.

CCC Getting Started in Cycling Program
After an overwhelming response the CCC getting in started program is now full for this intake.
The riders who have signed up to this program will receive 10 weeks of coaching, CCC Jersey and Cap, a bike maintenance workshop, one years membership to the CCC and Cycling Australia and a cycling specific musculoskeletal screening provided by Berg Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic.
If you are interested in the program but missed out this time around the CCC will be running another intake in February, please contact Jess (jessicaho@grapevine.com.au) if you would like to be placed on the waiting list.

Get ready for a great day of Crit racing in the leadup to the much anticipated Summer Crit Season! If the size of local bunches currently are anything to go by, Spring has sprung and this event is a great way to test your form early in the season and potentially grab a medal at the same time. Cost is $10 and support races will be run in conjunction with the event (note only riders in Championship categories will be eligible for medals) as well as presentations and a BBQ afterwards.
