The CHMS 7th grade teachers completed the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and nominated their 8th grade teacher colleagues! On Friday during lunchtime, all 10 grade 8 teachers completed their challenge. Several CHMS birthday students helped soak them with BIG buckets of ice water! The teachers are donating to ALS as an 8th grade staff and are encouraging students to do the same. The 8th grade teachers are now challenging the 8th teachers at Hinsdale Middle School and the 6th grade teachers at CHMS!
MANNA PROGRAM
PURPOSE: To give CHMS students an opportunity to earn monies to help fund their 8th grade trip to Washington D.C.
How Does It Work: Manna offers about 120 local and national Gift Cards. For EACH Gift Card purchased, a percentage determined by the vendor (2 – 30 %) will be deposited into your child’s CHMS PTO Manna account. These accounts will be monitored and maintained by the CHMS PTO and will be paid directly to the Washington D.C. travel group prior to your child’s trip.
(The PTO launched the Manna program in 2013. It was so successful that we are now offering it to all CHMS students. This is a voluntary program.)
Who Can Participate: The Manna Program is now offered to ALL CHMS Students! 6th Grade students will have 3 years to accumulate monies to be used to help fund their 8th grade Washington D.C. trip.
Remember for EVERY Gift Card purchased, your child will receive monies into their own
CHMS PTO Manna account to help fund their Washington D.C. Trip!
