Farm 2 Feast Success!

We'd like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to all who attended our Farm to Feast fundraising dinner at Loutet Farm a few weeks ago.  With your help, we raised $9,200 at the event! The amazing support of all our event and silent auction sponsors meant that 100% of the proceeds went to support the education programs we will run at the Sutherland Schoolyard Market Garden.  You can learn more about all our great sponsors here!

Each month, we bring you growing tips courtesy of LIfeSpace Project's Garden Guide.  Check it out for great growing tips, info, and planting calendar.
The last of your summer plants are ready to be harvested this month.  Some vegetables like potatoes and turnip can be prepared for storage over late fall and winter.

What to do - This month is about cleaning up your garden and preparing your containers for winter. Compost any healthy plant material left over from the summer to feed next year's veggies.  Cover your containers for when the frost sets in - especially important if you want to grow some vegetables over the winter.
There are lots of opportunities to join us in the gardens and get dirty!  Visit our Events Calendar to see these sessions at a glance:
