Operation: GoodJobs Helps Veterans Find Work

Operation: GoodJobs is a partnership between Goodwill and the Walmart Foundation that connects veterans with the training, financial education, credentialing opportunities, retention support and case management services they need to get back to work. Information sessions are being held throughout northwest North Carolina to connect veterans and their families to these employment resources. View locations and full schedule.
Levi's Unzipped Blog Inspires Donations to Goodwill

According to an entry on Levi Strauss & Co.'s Unzipped blog, $4.4 billion was spent on jeans in the last back-to-school season. This "in with the new, out with the old" cycle presents an opportunity for consumers to make a difference in their community and their environment by donating last year's castoffs to Goodwill. "Tech Cafe" Workshops Offer Training for Seniors

Goodwill and The Shepherd’s Center of Greater Winston-Salem are partnering to present a series of technology training classes for the area’s senior population. The program, Tech Café, will launch with an information session for the public on September 17, followed by weekly seminars on computers, smart phones, social media, using the Internet and more. The workshops are free of charge and will be held at Goodwill's University Parkway campus in Winston-Salem. Read more.
Asheville Baseball Fans Support Goodwill's Mission

This summer, hundreds of fans of the Asheville Tourists, a farm team for the Colorado Rockies, showed loyalty for the minor league team and support for Goodwill's mission. At four "Goodwill Nights at the Tourists" games this summer, more than 1,200 fans donated items to the Goodwill truck outside McCormick Field.
