Sikhism is at the heart of the interfaith movement.

Sikhs have been central to the interfaith movement at all of the modern Parliaments of the World's Religions. Chair of the 1993 Parliament Sikh Host Committee and Trustee Emeritus Dr. Balwant Singh Hansra says "the name of the Sikh faith became quite common after the 1993 Parliament, which was lacking in earlier years."

More than twenty years later, emerging voices of Sikh-Americans like Parliament Ambassador Simran Jeet Singh are now engaging media, academia, government, and many institutions of society with the mission of the interfaith movement. A more peaceful, just and sustainable world is coming.

Parliaments are known as the powerhouse of the interfaith movement. Thousands still recall the Barcelona experience at the 2004 Parliament where Sikhs sharing daily langar with thousands of people showed the goodness of faith to the world. Reflecting on his fondest memory of the 2004 Parliament, participant Rev. John Strickland of the Atlanta Unity Church said

"It is one thing to talk a good talk, but the Sikhs walked their walk."

Chardi Kala has always been a visionary contribution to the Parliament's global interfaith summits in the United States, Spain, South Africa, and Australia.

Sikhs Serving as Trustees on the Parliament Board Say...

"In my opinion the Parliament not only has a long history of bringing various diverse faiths together but also encouraging them to appreciate a number of similarities that all faiths have in common instead of highlighting their dissimilarities. It is a platform to discuss and find solutions to our common problems and to build lasting relationships between various communities."
-Kuldeep Singh

"The Parliament of world religions has the capacity to bring people of all the religions and diverse cultures and traditions together to solve the world problems, and work for the betterment of the human race and our planet earth. The 2015 Parliament is an attempt to achieve this."
-Manohar Singh Grewal
