Fratello's
Greetings!

It looks like the pendulum has swung around in our favor again this weekend, that is, if one likes beautiful skies and warm temps. I'd say perfect weather to head out for some good food & wine. (Now come on, you'd expect me to say something like this, non?) We will be featuring this weekend Lamb stew, Red Grouper, and Shortbill spearfish, also known as Hebi in Hawaii, where it comes from. The Hebi is a mild tasting fish, with a somewhat more pronounced flavor than tuna. I am also told that a special appetizer is in the works. We hope you'll consider joining us and keep us company tonight, or tomorrow, or.....

On our feature board we continue to feature the excellent Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley of Oregon from Hawks View. I am very fond of Pinot Noir, in large measure because of all the interesting types of Pinot that are available and in how versatile the wine is with many types of food. Pinot is a red wine that works equally well with poultry, meat, or fish dishes, and a Pinot from the Central Coast area of California, like Laetitia which we love and have featured for quite awhile,  is a very different wine from a Pinot from Oregon, like the Hawks View. And then there is Pinot from the true home of the grape, red Burgundy from France, another animal all together. Another and among my most favorite regions for Pinot Noir is the Russian River area of Sonoma, which the wines of Gary Farrell represent very well. We have Pinot Noir from all these areas on our list, from France, several from California, several more from Oregon, and even some from other areas of the world. If you have not done so yet, I urge you to open up your palates to Pinot Noir. It is a wonderful wine.

We trust you are well and have weathered through the ups and downs of our summer, which is rapidly leaving us. But fall is another great time of year, and we hope to see you. Thanks for your continued support, it is sincerely appreciated.

Ciao

P.S. I want to offer congrats to our friends John & Alex who join their lives together this weekend. Bon Voyage, and we look forward to seeing you soon.

P.P.S How about those Browns! And keep some faith for the Tribe! Go Cleveland sports!!
