1.) What's new with APA-SCP?

Now that summer's over, we're gearing up for a new season of promoting a stronger sustainability agenda in the APA and the planning profession:
  • ENGAGEMENT WITH APA: APA-SCP Committee Chair Daniel Lerch has been appointed to the Sustaining Places Initiative Task Force initiated by APA President Bruce Knight.
  • ENGAGEMENT WITH YOU: Have you joined our group on LinkedIn.com yet? Sign up now, and take part in the many ongoing conversations there!
  • STRATEGIZING: Our Operations and Coordinating Committees will be strategizing the next steps for the APA-SCP group as we approach our six-month mark in October. If you would like to help with this, please email us.
2.) News you might be interested in 3.)Resources and events

4.) How you can help

One of the most important ways you can help the APA-SCP is to join the conversation at our LinkedIn or Facebook sites. There are also plenty of non-virtual ways you can help:
  • Want to help with research and/or writing for our upcoming initiatives? Tell our Operations Committee!
  • Have colleagues who are interested in sustainability? Invite them to join our mailing list.
  • Is your firm or agency a sustainability leader? Ask them to become an APA-SCP sponsor.
  • Are you speaking at an upcoming conference of your APA Chapter? Include a PowerPoint slide about APA-SCP and help spread the word.
