Join us for
soulful and song-filled High Holiday services, along with chanting, meditation, kids' programming, and full childcare! We’ll be gathering in beautiful Hart House for Rosh Hashanah (Sept. 25-26) and Emmanuel College for Yom Kippur (Oct. 3-4) to meet the
Yamim Nora’im as a community with joy and awe. We hope you’ll be there!
In addition to our guest prayer leader,
Steven Goldstein, visiting rabbi,
Steve Greenberg, and our own
Rabbi Aaron, we’re happy to announce
a bevy of fantastic community members who will be inspiring and educating us over the Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur with words of Torah, guiding our meditation, leading our services, reading Torah and Haftarah, blowing shofar, running our kids’ programs, and facilitating our chanting:
Agi Veto, Aharon Trottier, Alon Nashman, Avi Craimer, Jo Frisch, Julia Segal, Leora Jackson, Marc Epstein, Nadia Stolpner, Omer Karagoz, Rachel Gordan, Rachel Ptashny, Shalom Steinberg & Tzvika Aviv.
Reserve your seat now by making a
tax-deductible donation to Makom for your
ticket.
Please see Makom’s
website for the full
schedule.
Tickets sales help cover the costs of putting on High Holiday services. That said, we don't want anyone to be unable to attend services due to financial constraints. If the cost of tickets is financially prohibitive, please pay what you can. (At this point, please do not contact Rabbi Aaron; just go ahead and purchase tickets at a price you can afford.)
Please see
here for details and
contact us if you have any questions.
We need your help with important volunteer roles! Please
let us know how you can help.
Lakeside TASHLIKH for Kids + Adults

@ HTO Park on Lake Ontario – 339 Queen’s Quay W (the little sandy beach btw Spadina & Rees)

Everyone’s welcome to join us for
Tashlikh, a beautiful water’s-edge ceremony with singing, reflecting, and symbolically casting off our past sins. We’ll have separate programs for adults and kids, along with time when any families can be together.
The adults’ program will feature
Alan Morinis – a leading figure in the contemporary revival of the
Mussar movement, a Jewish spiritual-ethical discipline – who will inspire and guide our personal introspection.
Jennifer Turack, Makom’s Director of Education and Family Programming, will engage children with stories, activities, and age-appropriate reflective discussion.
Feel free to
bring bread crumbs to throw into the lake if you’d like to partake in that symbolic custom.
