California Peach Tree Medicine

Hello Wild One!

I don't know about you, but here in Southern California the summer is definitely not over. In fact, we've had weeks of 90 degree weather, which where I live is abnormally hot. And dry. You've probably heard by now that we're experiencing a serious drought. Hot and dry do not agree with me. So this magical potion has been keeping me sane.

Want to know more about the energetics of the beautiful peach tree, one of my very favorite medicines?

Peach is a cooling nervine with moistening properties, which in herbalist-speak means it calms and cools your mind, body, and nervous system. I use it when I'm feeling really tense or stressed, and especially when that tension manifests as hot, dry symptoms such as headache, sore throat, raspy dry cough, irritability, and insomnia.

Sound familiar?

Peach leaf/twig/blossom is also fantastic for digestive issues, particularly those that come along with a sense of heat, nausea, and flushed skin.

I've used peach leaf tincture successfully with clients suffering from allergic reactions, rash, and red (hot) infections of all sorts of varieties.

This seriously delicious elixir has been crafted with organic peach leaves, twigs, and bark that I gathered from my friend Luke's peach tree, and which I then extracted in raw, local honey and brandy. All summer I've been adding it to tea (it tastes particularly amazing with rose or peppermint), or putting a dropper full into sparkling water with a squeeze of lemon.  AND I have just a few of these left in my shop, so be sure to grab yours while it's available!

Stay wild,
Katie
