PBFA celebrates its 40th Birthday with a fresh new website

Friday 19th Sept sees the PBFA (Provincial Booksellers Fairs Association) launch an improved version of its website to coincide with both its 40th birthday and its biggest fair of the year (at York Race Course).

Since 1974 the PBFA has helped its members to sell their second hand and antiquarian books directly to the public at various book fairs throughout the UK.

The association has grown to encompass the majority of leading members of the trade, and operates around 60 book fairs in towns and cities across the country.

The aim of the new website is to ensure that the association stays current and takes full advantage of all forms of communication available in the digital age.
As well as the usual search facilities, lists of fairs and a directory of members, a vast selection of books will be available to buy world-wide, through a sleek and attractive sales area. Each PBFA member will have the facility to upload their finest stock, with full descriptions, and a number of photographs.

“Think of it as a very high class bookshop, with only the finest items from around the world on sale” said Marc Harrison, Press Officer for the PBFA.  “Rather than have to wade through book sites such as Amazon, those who are looking to buy lovely collectable items direct from the seller, have somewhere to go for quality books.” All backed, of course, with the assurance that the seller is a reputable and experienced book seller.
