Message from the CEO

Fall is an amazing time in Florida. The weather starts to cool off and everyone gets back to their regular routine. Fall is also a busy time here at ECHO. As such, we need the community to help us. One great way to help is to organize a food drive. Area schools have been holding drives for a number of years. The food we receive during this time helps get us through the next few months. Here is a short list of some items that are always needed:

Dried or canned milk; dried potatoes; canned meats, flavored pasta; cereal; toothpaste; soap; shampoo; and deodorant.

Thank you for your support. If anyone wants to come and take a tour of our amazing facility, just let me know.

Back to Work Success Story

Thanks to a grant from Bank of America, ECHO has established a Back To Work Program. We are pleased to be able to report a success story.

Tony was working at ECHO through an agreement with Career Source Tampa Bay. He worked diligently to find a full time job. He recently got one with the Original Beef O’Brady’s in Brandon. Tony said, “I am grateful for the job search assistance, clothing assistance and positive reinforcement that the staff at ECHO provided to me in my search for employment. Without ECHO, I am not sure that I would have been given this opportunity by JJ Massaro and the management at Beef’s. This success story was made possible because Bank of America provided the funding necessary to start the Back To Work Program which offers assistance with job searches, resume writing, interview skills and clothing for job interviews.

This success story, and many others to follow, would not be possible without funding support from institutions like Bank of America and community partners such as The Original Beef O’Brady’s, which is owned by JJ Massaro, a current member of the ECHO Board of Directors.
