'Taste the World' by Women's Culture Exchange
Book Launch at New Art Exchange
Saturday 20 December, 12 - 4pm

Join us for the launch of this much requested recipe book from the Women's Culture Exchange!

Drop in throughout the afternoon for a hot drink and delicious tasters from the recipe book, plus the chance to find out more about the project and buy the book. At 2pm there will be a presentation from women involved in the project about making the recipe book.

Women’s Culture Exchange is a voluntary self-led support group for women who are from asylum seeking or refugee backgrounds. There are 70 regular members involved in the group. We hold weekly support meetings and activities to share and develop skills, to reduce social isolation, build a strong social support network, gain awareness and access to local services and broader educational and developmental opportunities.

Taste the World has arisen from the women’s desire to share their cooking skills, to learn from each others’ cultures and to contribute within the wider community. A successful Big Lottery grant earlier this year has enabled us to run a 10 week project to create this book with support from artists and designers. All proceeds raised will go towards the continuing development of Women’s Culture Exchange.

'Taste the World' will also be available to buy from 18th-21st December at City Arts, Exhibition and Crafts Market (11-13 Hockley, NG1 1FH)
