The Civil Rights Project (CRP) is looking for a Researcher-Analyst who will play a significant role in the development of research projects related to educational equity issues, with a focus on disparities in school discipline, achievement, graduation rates and other areas. The Researcher-Analyst will work for the Center for Civil Rights Remedies (CCRR) at CRP, under the direction of the CCRR Director. The Researcher-Analyst will take the lead in the design, organization, management and analysis of quantitative data in order to examine patterns of disparities in exclusionary discipline along a broad set of demographic, educational, and economic quantitative data sources. The Research-Analyst will also participate in report writing and dissemination of the research. This position will be based at UCLA.

About the Civil Rights Project
Founded in 1996 by former Harvard professors Gary Orfield and Christopher Edley Jr., the Civil Rights Project/Proyecto Derechos Civiles (CRP) is now co-directed by Orfield and Patricia Gándara, professors at UCLA, and housed in the Graduate School of Education & Information Studies. The CRP’s mission is to create a new generation of research in social science and law on the critical issues of civil rights and equal opportunity for racial and ethnic groups in the United States. It has commissioned more than 400 studies, published more than 15 books and issued numerous reports from authors at universities and research centers across the country. The Supreme Court, in its 2003 Grutter v. Bollinger decision, cited the Civil Rights Project's research.
