Dear Colleagues,

Sportivate funding provides countless opportunities for any club or organisation wanting to deliver sport to people aged 11-25, yet the process of applying for funding can be daunting if you haven’t done it before.
 
What is a Sportivate project?
A Sportivate project is a 6-8 week long course of sport or physical activity that encourages people aged 11-25 to become more physically active. Success is measured by recording how many sessions participants attend, and all projects must be able to offer a sustainable offer of activity after the project has finished, like a club or team.
 
With another two years of the Sport England funded project to go, the Herts Sports Partnership wants to make sure that everyone has the maximum opportunity to be a part of Sportivate. So, on Wednesday 15 October we’ll be holding our first ever Sportivate Funding Workshop, providing a step by step walk through of how to submit a successful application, writing it as we go! The session will take place in an IT suite at the University of Hertfordshire with full access to laptops and resources that will help you to demonstrate the need for your project, show the impact it will make, and calculate how much your project will cost. The workshop is free to attend and will take place from 6.30pm to 9pm and following the workshop, you will have an application that is ready for submission to the local panel.

• Please come to the workshop with an idea for a project!
• Your project must have the potential to run between April and September 2015
