Let ETS Know What You Think

The Board of the Blackburne Creek Homeowners' Association has worked over the summer in an attempt to get evening bus service for our community, but ETS has refused. Now we are asking residents who want evening transit service to take up the cause and let Edmonton Transit and your ward Councillor Bryan Anderson know your thoughts on the matter.

Although dealing with an issue like getting better transit service is not part of the mandate of the association, we wrote letters and emails on the issue because residents told us it was important. Now the association is asking you to make the same case directly to the decision makers after a disappointing response from Edmonton Transit.

For some background here is a copy of the letter we sent to Councillor Anderson about the issue in June and here is the response we received from Frank Zaprawa of Edmonton Transit. In response to the ETS letter, we sent an email to Bryan Anderson's office and here is the text of that email.

Please make your thoughts known to Frank Zaprawa at Edmonton Transit by calling (780) 496-5783 or through the complaints page on the ETS website. Councillor Anderson can be reached by calling (780) 496-8110 or sending him an email.

You can make a difference.

Fall Watering

If you live along Blackburn Drive and have a tree on your boulevard we are asking you to help everyone out by watering the tree a time or two before snow is on the ground. Providing a deep watering now can make a real difference to a tree in the spring. As you likely know we have lost a few trees due to traffic accidents over the past year or two, so keeping the trees we still have is a priority. The association has been in contact with The City of Edmonton to get trees replaced, but it's a long process to get replacement trees planted.
