and NIP Tax Credits

We just received notification from the West Virginia Development Office that the Eastern West Virginia Community Foundation was awarded $45,000 in Neighborhood Investment Program (NIP) tax credits. If you are familiar with NIP tax credits you know this is a great opportunity for anyone who pays West Virginia state tax to save a substantial amount on yearly tax bill. WV NIP tax credits were created to help increase contributions to nonprofit organizations that serve distressed neighborhoods, low-income families, at-risk children, and other similar programs. Donations to nonprofit organizations with NIP tax credits earn up to 50% CREDIT on WV State taxes for the donor.
