Hello SOTA- Spoon River Rochester is looking for extras!
We are so excited to be performing Spoon River Rochester as a headliner at this year's Rochester Fringe Festival. We have hundreds of actors joining us, but we would like to extend the opportunity to the students, faculty and staff at School of the Arts.
Spoon River Rochester is a huge, community performance using a cast of hundreds to perform an American classic, Spoon River Anthology. Performers will bring to life the fictional characters of the fictional town of Spoon River, Ohio. The mobile audience will walk through the stationary performers like wanderers through a graveyard. Performers recite poems in a staggered form to present all 244 stories in 30 minutes.
Part flash mob, part zombie walk, all performance art. It's fun, it's simple and you get to be a part of the Fringe Festival in a new and exciting way! All we are asking of performers is to attend one rehearsal, create a grey and/or white costume and perform at two shows next week.
To sign up, visit our website at SpoonRiverRochester.com and get more information on the Performer's Page.
Cheers!
