What's happening at ECOO

ECOO Board of Directors Election


ECOO members are encouraged to review the new Board of Directors structure at www.ecoo.org. Consider getting involved to help technology-enabled learning remain strong and grow in Ontario. Nominate an ECOO colleague or self nominate at http://ecoo.org/ecoo-board-nomination-form/

Bring IT Together 2 Conference #BIT14

 
Have you registered for BIT14 yet? The conference takes place in less than two months at the ScotiaBank Centre in Niagara Falls, running November 5-7.

The Association for Media Literacy will hold a one-day conference at theTed Rogers School of Management in Toronto on Saturday, October 18, 2014 called Understanding Media Now: Navigating Surveillance, Social Media and Marketing.

Included in the speaker lineup are: Annie Kidder, People for Education and Ron Deibert, author of Black Code and Director of The Canada Centre for Global Security Studies and the Citizen Lab, Munk School of Global Affairs, University of Toronto

The first annual JEDcamp will run Sunday October 26th at Netivot HaTorah Day School in Thornhill. More more information and to register for this event, visit the website.

The Science Teachers’ Association of Ontario is hosting STAO Elementary Extravaganza on Saturday November 15th. The event will have over 30 sessions aimed at the elementary panel including sessions for Full Day Kindergarten.

Registration will be $25 for the day PLUS a one year free STAO membership!

The event also offers curriculum resources, playground areas to experiment with new technologies and resources and poster sessions to showcase best practices in Ontario classrooms.
