2014 Atlanta, Bay Area, LA, & Seattle Pipeline Fellowship Class Announcement
MEET THE 2014 ATLANTA, BAY AREA, LA, & SEATTLE PIPELINE FELLOWS!
Angel investing bootcamp for women announces its fall 2014 angels-in-training.

October 8, 2014 -- Pipeline Fellowship, an angel investing bootcamp for women, announced today its inaugural Atlanta, LA, and Seattle classes, as well as its third Bay Area cohort.

“My interest in Pipeline Fellowship stems from my deep appreciation for innovation and ingenuity,”  said Jennifer Pettway, 2014 Atlanta Pipeline Fellow, Alpha Kappa Alpha member, and Manager in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Risk Assurance practice. “Pipeline Fellowship will allow me to understand the total life cycle of angel investing and framing the deal. I am so thankful for Natalia and her vision to empower women in such a valuable way.”

"I'm looking forward to Pipeline Fellowship bringing a much-needed infusion of energy around women investors and entrepreneurs to the Pacific Northwest," said Anne Bradley, 2014 Seattle Pipeline Fellow and Privacy Counsel for Nike.

For Bonnie Barnes, 2014 LA Pipeline Fellow and Partner at Deloitte, “Pipeline Fellowship is a chance to meet interesting women, learn about seed investing, and make a social impact.”

“Pipeline Fellowship opens up my horizon and connects me with amazing women who share the same belief that those who dismiss women entrepreneurs are missing out great investment opportunities,” shared Grace Woo, 2014 LA Pipeline Fellow and Director of Supply Chain Strategy at McCormick.

"Often, founders create companies to solve problems they face themselves,” remarked Kevin Laws, COO of AngelList and speaker at the 2014 Bay Area Pipeline Fellowship Conference, an all-day event on angel investing, adding, “Similarly, many investors finance products they know. The more diverse our founders and investors are, the more problems their startups will solve for customers everywhere."

According to Susan Nethero, Atlanta-based Managing Director of Golden Seeds and speaker at the 2014 Atlanta Pipeline Fellowship Conference, an all-day event on angel investing, “Women drive 85% of the consumer buying power in the United States, creating a robust economy that’s US$7 trillion--let’s empower and fund our women entrepreneurs!”

For most of the Pipeline Fellows, this is their first angel investment. They are attracted by the program’s three components (education, mentoring, practice) and benefit from the diversity of each cohort. Pipeline Fellows are intergenerational (ranging from late twenties to 60+) and come from a variety of professional backgrounds.
