Join Us for October Worship!

Our October Monthly worship will be a kids worship in story and song: Sunday October 26 from 4-6pm with a potluck dinner. Please bring a dish. We're excited to introduce our new pastoral associate, Grace Marshall, who'll be leading the service and splitting time between Lydia's House and Vineyard Central Church for the coming year. Kids (and parents) and those who like to sing kids songs are welcome! RSVP to grace@stlydiashouse.org if you're able.

Good Transitions

In September we filled our final guest room with a guest who's been a lovely and loving addition to the house. She adores animals, drawing and kids and has been a big hit with Annie and Sam! We also said good bye to our summer intern Taffany Duggins, who moved into her own apartment and started her first ever paid job this week! We are so excited for her. We'll say good bye to our guest of two months, Laura, this week as she moves on to independent housing as well. We hope to welcome a new guest/ family in the next two weeks and we're actively interviewing each day. We're also super excited to welcome an Ignatian Volunteer Corps placement, Janet (one day a week), and a new associate community member, Rachel Kohl, who'll be living in house for a season.

Women for Women a Success!

Our hearts are full to overflowing with gratitude for our friends Maria and Robert Krzeski, MUSE Women's Choir, the women of Bellarmine Chapel and their friends from around the city who hosted us for a night of prayer, sharing, and song. They also raised over $12,000 for our food budget for 2015. Wow and thank you.
Items Needed

We are almost completely out of canned beans, healthy grains (quinoa, barley, whole wheat pasta, etc) and cleaning supplies. If you'd like to donate  these items email maryellen@stlydiashouse.org or just drop them on the porch!

Help Needed

Each time a guest comes or goes we need special help with cleaning their rooms and preparing them for the next guest. This happens about once a month and takes approximately 2 hours. If you'd be willing to be on the list to help us in this way, email elizabeth@stlydiashouse.org
