Busy week ahead

Holiday Learn to Sail course 8th-10th October

Start times are Wednesday 8:30am, Thursday and Friday 9am. 12 participants have signed up to attend with 5 additional members participating in Race Coaching with Ben Goodwin. Forecast looking perfect with West/Sou'westers of between 11 and 19 knots. This plus Training on Saturday, Racing Sunday and Coaching on Monday!

Report from Murray's Bay

FBYC sent a team to Murray's Bay over the weekend. The Optimists and Starlings completed one race on Friday before being blown off the water, Saturday was cancelled as a result of a small passing storm, 4 races were sailed back to back on Sunday. Results and photos can be viewed here Well done to Ngaio and Sarah Balfour, Joe Gauld, Logan McAllister, and Alexander Maehl in the Starlings, Meg Thomson in a laser radial, Sam Charles and Gavin Ninnes in the Opti Open.

Club Training

Saturday 11th, Rig time 10am
 

Rig Time 10 am with on the water start of 11am, tide time 13:21. All Holiday Learn to Sail graduates, and Force Racing squads are invited down to get some additional  training time in. Mathilde our recently employed Junior Coach will be down to provide some structured coaching so don't miss out. Long range forecast is for cold southerlies up to 9 knots, so some good light air practice.

Please be at the club at 4pm to rig as 4:30pm is our on the water start time. Luke and Ollie are back; Matt will be joining them to look after the new Green Fleet sailors.

Auckland Women's Laser Regatta

11th October Panmure Lagoon Sailing Club

When? This Saturday 11th October, 9:30am Start
Where? Panmure Lagoon Sailing Club - An inaugural trophy for grabs has been kindly donated by Jim Quinn
Who can attend? All Laser women sailors. There will be 2 fleets racing: A Fleet and a B Fleet. A fleet: Proficient sailors, who have participated in an open fleet Laser regatta. B Fleet: Sailors who have not sailed in an open fleet regatta. It is open to less experienced Laser Sailors. This fleet is to offer the less experienced sailors the opportunity to participate in their very first regatta. NOR here

Bright Lights Little Village

Fundraiser for Youth and Junior Squad

To raise funds for the coaching budget this season the club is sending a clean up team to the Bright Lights Little Village event on November 30th. All Youth and Junior Squad members must attend for an hour from 8:30pm, finish by 9:30pm.
