Riddle me this: How does a brand with no Facebook or Twitter account generate social media buzz? It all starts with one clever content marketing campaign:
 
Earlier this year, Ajax created a social media scrubbing tool that helped users “spring clean their social lives.” For Facebook, the tool aggregates all of the pages you’ve liked and allows you to get rid of the ones you’re no longer interested in. For Twitter, it detects junk tweets and spam accounts, then allows you to remove them. No strings attached, no signups or emails required ... just a useful tool to help you clean up social clutter. Combining content marketing with brand utility, Ajax simultaneously sparked social chatter, drove awareness of its Spray n’ Wipe multipurpose wipes and reinforced its core positioning. According to Contently, the tool helped Ajax spring clean more than 200,000 Facebook page likes and 20,000 Twitter accounts in just one week.
