This Sunday, the Get Scene team will be joining the family and friends of Sarah Jones for a 5K Walk-a-thon in Atlanta. The purpose of the event is to raise money for the Sarah Jones Film Foundation and its on-set awareness initiatives, educational scholarships, and social media outreach via Slates for Sarah.
Whether you've worked on a set, or aspire to someday, safety is an important issue and so we'd like to invite you to join us in supporting this cause. Get Scene will make a $20 donation to the Sarah Jones Film Foundation for each of the first 25 people who sign up to walk with us. That includes a free " Tough Like a Giraffe" t-shirt for each person.
If you're interested in walking with the Get Scene team, email info@getscenestudios.com with your name and t-shirt size. We will be meeting at the Holmes MARTA Station at 2:00 pm and then we will walk over to the event as a group.

"Never Forget, Never Again"
On February 20, 2014 Sarah Elizabeth Jones, 27, was tragically killed and several others injured by a train while filming the movie Midnight Rider, a biopic about musician Gregg Allman.
Sarah’s death prompted an outpouring of grief in the movie industry and galvanized film crew members throughout the entertainment industry, highlighting longstanding concerns about film set safety.
Safety for Sarah has come to represent, not only the tragedy of that day, but all those in the film industry... to create safer film sets. Many in the industry relate to what happened to Sarah, thus the adage - " We are all Sarah Jones"

What: A family-friendly 5K walk to benefit the Sarah Jones Film Foundation

Where*: Southwest Connector Trail, Atlanta BeltLine 390 Willis Mill Road Southwest Atlanta, GA 30311
We will meet at an intersection of the Lionel Hampton Trail and Willis Mill Road. Then we'll follow the Southwest Connector Trail.
*If you're walking with the Get Scene Team, we will meet at the Holmes MARTA Station: 70 Hamilton E. Holmes Drive NW, Atlanta, Georgia 30311.
