Artists in Residence - Dream Agreement

HCA is excited to welcome Johanna Bundon & Jayden Pfeifer as our Artists in Residence.

This residency is a continuation of the successful Heritage Improv Project (HIP) that took place in March - April 2014.

Here's what the pair had to say as an introduction as to what they have planned for the neighbourhood:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"We are happy to be working with the HCA over the next 9 months as artists in residence. This partnership feels exciting and full of potential!
During our residency, we will be looking to form partnerships and alliances with individuals and organizations within Heritage neighborhood.
Together, we will be exploring how the principles of Improvisation – acceptance, adaptability, support, and creative expression – enhance the lives of Heritage Community residents.
If you are interested in learning more about our residency at Heritage or getting involved, please be touch!"
2014 Harvest Moon Festival
We at HCA want to thank everyone who braved the cold weather and joined us for our annual Harvest Moon community festival on September 13th.
It was a wonderful day in the park that highlighted what a great neighbourhood Heritage is to live and play in.
We're already looking forward to next year!
Good Neighbour Grant: Yellow Tulip Project
Congratulations to Heritage resident Adam Smith, a new recipient of the Good Neighbour Grant!
Have you ever noticed that part of the HCA logo is a yellow flower?
In an effort to make the Heritage neighbourhood more united and lively, yellow tulips will be planted throughout the community during the fall. Keep your eyes open during the spring time for these beautiful flowers!
If you're a resident of the Heritage neighbourhood and are interested in having yellow tulips planted in your yard, please contact the HCA office.
Do you have a unique idea to improve the community?
Please visit our website for more information on the Good Neighbour Community Grant Program and how to apply.
Maple Leaf Park Revitalization
Construction of the new Maple Leaf Park playground is scheduled from  October 20 - 24.
After four years of fundraising, the final piece of the It's Time to Play project is in place. At the end of this month, a brand new playground will be put into Maple Leaf Park.
Thank you to everyone who has donated to this project; it would not have been possible without your support!
Both of the new playgrounds will be an important space for the neighbourhood children for many years to come.
Please join us in early November for an unveiling ceremony and a volunteer appreciation night.
Details to follow over the next few weeks.
HCA is proud to be a funded partner of the United Way.
HCA thanks the City of Regina for their ongoing support.
