Hello!

Just a quick note to bring you up to date with the Parksville, Qualicum Beach and Nanoose Bay real estate market.   According to the Vancouver Island Real Estate Board, there are 705 single family homes listed for sale and  as of July 31st, there have been 472 SF sales  in 2013;  the average sale price has been $408,507.  There are currently 207 lots for sale and there have been 28 sales this year; the average sale price has been  $189,553.  As for apartment style condos, there  are  130 active listings and 39 sales in 2013;  the average sale price has been  $240,050.   Last but not least,  there are 115 townhouse/patio homes for sale & there have been  97 sales in 2013 & the average sale price has been  $294,101.


Currently,  only 56% of all single family homes listed will actually sell which is actually an improvement, however it still means that buyers have a large selection of listings to choose from and the most accurately priced listings will sell.  Though we are in a more balanced market,  you still need an experienced & successful realtor to handle the listing; price it correctly or it will not sell.    Royal Lepage is the largest and most successful real estate company in our area; as well, I have been a top producer within the company and community for over 22 years. RECIPE OF THE MONTH

Ingredients


6 hard-boiled eggs, halved
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
whole black olives

Directions


 
  1. Cut eggs in half lengthwise. Slip out yolks and mash.
  2. Stir in mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cut whole olive in half lengthwise.
  4. Put one half on mashed yolk for the spider's body.
  5. Thinly slice the other half of the olive for the spiders legs. Put four legs on each side.
