New Product Announcements

We are very excited to announce the addition of 4 new offerings to our product catalog. We've had a hard time keeping the lid on these products as they've been in development for some time and have taken on a life of their own. No matter where we stashed the prototypes at the mill, they've had an uncanny ability to catch most visitor's eye. We are glad to finally take the lid off and release them into the wild!

 

Basketweave Infinity Scarf

Our Basketweave Infinity Scarf combines a classic knit pattern with an updated scarf design, the Infinity loop. This scarf is made using one of our brand new SURI ALPACA blend yarns, showcasing Suri fiber's natural luster and beautiful drape.

LEAF Shawl

Our LEAF Shawl is made using one of our brand new SURI Alpaca blend yarns. The leaf pattern knit and the suri blend yarn together have produced an amazingly intricate design all while being soft and luxurious to the touch. The LEAF Shawl is generously sized at 22" wide by 72" long.

Mother Nature's
Finest Fiber BLANKET
80" x 56"

Our Mother Nature's Finest Fiber Blanket is one of our new limited edition products for 2014.

This stunningly beautiful heavy weight blanket showcases the warmth and softness of USA Alpaca with a unique and eye catching design. The entire blanket is produced using naturally colored alpaca blend yarn, highlighting the wide range of fiber colors produced across the national alpaca herd. The blanket is double knit, adding to it's weight, overall comfort, and ability to keep any one or even two people warm on the coldest of nights. Pictures can only begin to scratch the surface on how impressive this blanket is in person, we look forward to delighting you when the first begin to ship out. This blanket measures 80" x 56".

BOLD Survival Socks

We are offering limited run dye batches of BOLD colors in our Survival Sock. These are done in very small batches and will be available while supplies last. Our first batch is in size Medium and available in Plum Purple, Pewter Grey, and Forest Green. Keep your eyes peeled for more sizes and colors in the coming weeks.

Market Yourself - Tara Swiger

This past August at the Camelid Community Conference we had the pleasure of meeting Tara Swiger. She gave a very informative presentation to the group of farmers in attendance that broke down the overwhelming mountain that is "Marketing" into small, easy to focus on, and most importantly, attainable goals.
           Tara's knowledge and approach is easy to follow because it comes from her own personal experience of taking her hand spinning and yarn dyeing passion and evolving it into a flourishing business that supports her and her family. Through her own personal adventure, she also found her love for sharing marketing and business strategies with other crafters and small business owners on their own paths. She's collected these marketing lessons into a book, Market Yourself, that we picked up at the conference and have been working through ever since.
Tara's book, Market Yourself, provides a path for the reader to define their message and share it in a way that reaches the RIGHT PEOPLE who will LOVE their products and business.

This is more than a book on marketing, it also serves as a workbook that enables the reader to develop a marketing strategy along the way. Each chapter ends with some "homework" for the reader to put the information they just read into action for their own personal small business or product. By the time you've finished the book, you have in your hand a step by step and easy to follow path on taking your business to the next step.

NEAFP News

We are happy to report our sorter's are currently working through the VA collection point's fiber and will be completing it in the coming weeks. This is the last collection point's fiber to be sorted through and we'll be moving into the upcoming Alpaca show fiber collections with a completely clean slate!

We are currently shipping all orders that meet their requirements within 1 business day of receiving them. We hope to maintain this order fulfillment speed but as we get closer to the holiday's this might increase to 2 business days.
