Hi <<Club Name>>, and welcome to the Monthly Member News.
Well, another month has passed by as we move towards the summer season, with more opportunities to get out and about.
September saw Pukekohe Hot Rod Club celebrate their 50th anniversary, with a very successful weekend, reliving the history of the Club and showing some cars I hadn't seen in a very long time. Keep an eye out for photos in magazines, although I understand even Sky Sport covered the event. Congratulations to Pukekohe Hot Rod Club for a well run event.
In other news, the NZHRA Executive have purchased a vehicle for the 2015 Lottery! It's a 1936 Ford Sedan, and is currently getting some TLC so that it's ready to display at the Protecta Insurance 2014 National Show in Dunedin at Labour Weekend. We expect the Lottery to launch proper on 17th January, so the NZHRA Office will be sending Ticket Order Forms out to Clubs in the next week or so. Please remember to check your P O Box for this form, so that your Club has plenty of time to discuss your ticket needs before Christmas puts a spanner in the works. We have time on our side to ensure this lottery is even more successful than the last, but we can only do so with the help of our Member Clubs.
The NZHRA will be holding their AGM in Dunedin this year, just following the show, and as usual it's open to all Members. It'll be held at Hurricanes Rodders' clubrooms at 52 Victoria Road, Saint Kilda, Dunedin from 9am on (Labour Day) Monday 27th October. If you think you may attend, please let
Alicia in the Office know.
Last month we said farewell to Rhian Ecclestone (Sales and Marketing Officer) as she embarks on new career opportunities. She has been part of a greatly improved NZHRA and we wish her well for the future.
Lastly, thank you to everyone who participated in our 2014 Members' Survey. The Survey is now closed, and is being collated in time for the October Executive Meeting. I understand that there has been a big response. The Executive look forward to planning the future of NZHRA, based on this important feedback from our Members.
Looking forward to seeing many of you in Dunedin at Labour Weekend.
Yours in Rodding
Warren Pattinson
NZHRA President
