Hi all,
Welcome to the third Engine Shed newsletter. This newsletter was set up to keep Engine Shed tenants and Business Lounge members in the loop about what's going on the building and inform you of the opportunities you have to network and attend events.

If you'd like anything promoting in the next newsletter, please let us know before the 6th November by emailing info@engine-shed.co.uk
Free public seminar from Engine Shed

Catch the next Engine Shed briefing: Bristol Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone – a new quarter for Bristol 12pm - 1pm,  31st October, The Junction Seminar Space

Alistair Reid, Interim Service Director for Economy for Bristol City Council, will talk about the opportunities and challenges of the Enterprise Zone which aims to create 17,000 jobs over 25 years and become a new, superbly connected entry to Bristol. Come and find out what is happening to the area around you.

Each briefing will be followed by the opportunity to meet the speaker and grab yourself a cake and a coffee in the Business Lounge.

Can you design a Christmas tree?

Engine Shed is designing a tree for St Mary Redcliffe Church's Bristol Tree Fest and we need your help! The scheme gives local organisations the opportunity to raise money for charity by decorating a Christmas tree in the most exciting and innovative way possible. We are taking this very seriously, and hope to design a tree which reflects ES as a hub for entrepreneurs, business leaders, academics and students, notably in the high-tech, low carbon and creative sectors. If you have any ideas for the tree, or would like to contribute decorations, please email Faye at esreception@setsquared.co.uk
 Free Travel Consultations

We're proud to say that in our latest visitor travel survey, 69% of visitors proved to be coming to Engine Shed by sustainable methods. As part of National Commute Smart Week (11 - 14 November) the Travel West Roadshow are going to be offering free 1:1 travel consultations for all tenants. We will also be relaunching our travel information with free travel maps available from reception and encouraging you to fill out our tenants' travel survey so we can find out how to support you better. If you would like more details, or book a travel consultation, please email imogen.palmer@engine-shed.co.uk

Why does it always rain on me?
Wet weather has returned! This is a reminder that there are secure lockers available for all tenants, both in the Business Lounge and in the showers. Lounge lockers can be used anytime for £1. Keys for the shower lockers must be bought at the ES reception. There is an umbrella stand next to the front entrance and a coat rail for wet coats opposite reception.
Platform 14

Keep up to date with the exhibitions in our innovation showcase, Platform 14.

We're always looking for partners to help curate this space.
If you know anyone who would be interested to use their own interpretation of innovation and enterprise through whatever medium they choose and take over the space for two months, please ask them to contact info@engine-shed.co.uk.
Thanks to all your hard work baking (and eating), we raised £205.57 for Macmillan Cancer Research! Muffin crumby about that.
