OUR NEW ROLE WITH BUFFALO GHHI
This summer, HOCN was busy behind the scenes taking on a new role in the City of Buffalo. HOCN is now serving as the Production Manager for the Green & Healthy Homes Initiative (GHHI) of Buffalo, working directly with the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo to ensure the effectiveness of the Buffalo Production Partners! Are you looking to reduce energy waste in your home? Whether your a tenant or homeowner, you may qualify for EmPower New York! A participating contractor assesses if your home would benefit from improved insulation, reduced drafts, and upgrades to lighting and replacement of inefficient refrigerators and freezers, all at no cost to you. B DISTRICT MEETING
The Buffalo Police Department's B District hosts monthly community meetings on the second Monday of the month at their headquarters, 695 Main Street. For questions or to confirm a meeting date, please contact the B District Office at (716) 851-4403.

FARMERS' MARKET
The Allentown Association will be hosting a Farmers' Market on Fridays from 4:00-7:00pm in Elmwood Park, in front of the Adult Learning Center on South Elmwood Avenue between Virginia and Edward streets. The market will continue through October 31.

NIAGARA STREET MEETING
The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA) will host a public meeting on Wednesday, October 22nd from 6:00-8:00pm to present draft recommendations for bus shelters and stops on Niagara St. from Elmwood Ave. to Ontario St, and design elements of a new transit center to be located at Niagara and Ontario Streets.
