Participant Recognition Banquet
Futures’ annual participant recognition banquet was held on Thursday, September 25, at the Anthonian Hall in Lewis Run.
Our friends from the Bradford Knights of Columbus Lodge 403 hosted the banquet, which they have sponsored for 40 consecutive years.
Highlighting the evening was the presentation of certificates and pins to 23 participants who have reached service milestones.
Roger Jacoby was honored for 40 years at Futures. Joe Hoffman and Peggy Sitarchuk were honored for 30 years of service.
Billie Bonini was recognized for 25 years service. Reaching the 20 year plateau were Aaron Briggs, Mike Causer, Jean Gahr and Tim Taylor.
Tracy Carson, Clarence Hough, Corrina Minard and Sheridan Phillips were honored for 15 years.
Ten year awards went to Sue Depto, Katie Hodge, Stacy Skinner, Josef Torrey and Danyelle Trumbull.
Honored for five years were Andrew Anderson, Jon Farnham, David Rose, Anthony Travis, Bethany Wagner and Ben Wehrer.
Anthony Travis was honored with the Alan Kline Friendship Award, in recognition of his friendliness and dedication. Cathy Dunmire received the Joan Park Friendship Award, in recognition of her kindness to others.
The Friendship Awards were established in memory of the late Alan Kline and the late Joan Park, program participants whose enthusiasm, positive attitude and work ethic were an inspiration to all.
30 participants who had achieved a perfect attendance record during the past year were also honored, as were participants who moved on to success in community employment.
Jeff VanScoter was recognized for having perfect attendance during the past 12 years.
Over 180 participants, families, friends, staff and members of the board of directors were in attendance at the banquet.
