SBIR/STTR Workshop Recap

More than 60 entrepreneurs attended the SBIR/STTR workshop hosted by SARTA on Thursday, September 25. SARTA ,with it’s grant from the Economic Development Administration i6 Challenge, hosted specific training on how to apply and what it takes to qualify for one of these innovation and research grants available from various federal agencies. The attendees were fortunate to have the insight and knowledge of Becky Aistrup from BBC Entrepreneurial Training and Consulting, who has over 20 years of consulting with technology companies on SBIR/STTR funding. The workshop was informal with questions taken throughout the presentation. Ten companies scheduled one-on-one meetings the following day with the trainer to go over specific questions and strategies for their grant proposals at Drexel University Sacramento.
