Our church is walking

CROP Walk 2014: Let's do this together

"When was it that we saw you hungry and gave you food, or thirsty and gave you something to drink?" And he will answer them, "Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me."
Matthew 25:37, 40 NRSV
On Sunday, October 12, at 1pm, our church is walking to end hunger. We're joining the CROP Walk in Severna Park. CROP is the "grandaddy of hunger walks", having started in 1947 to help feed people all over the world. That help is still needed today, and now is our chance to respond.

Learn more about what a "CROP Walk" is here.

If you can join with our walking team, sign up in the church hall or click here and register online. If you can support us with a financial gift, click here. You are always allowed to do both. If you're walking, be sure to wear your walking clothes to church that day! There will be Team UCCA t-shirts for those who sign up early! Please contact Kathy or Marlene with any questions.

The walk begins at 1pm at the Severna Park Community Center:
   623 Baltimore-Annapolis Blvd
   Severna Park, MD 21146
It is expected to be along the traffic-free Baltimore-Annapolis Trail. Snacks will be at the half-way point.

Thank you for all your gifts, and your giving. Thank you to Marlene and Kathy, our organizers, for gathering this all together!

Shalom,
Ryan+
