Hey there <<First Name>> and welcome to my Special Edition Newsletter to announce the winner of my FIRST EVER Remix Contest for my single "Natural"!

First, let me say that when we started this contest, we had no idea what kind of response we'd get. This has been two months of fun & excitement interacting with all of these amazing DJs & Producers from around the WORLD! I've also been so happy to see all of you getting in on the action, sharing the videos, and voting etc. I've had a great time, haven't you?

THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH TO ALL WHO PARTICIPATED!

As you know, this contest was decided solely by fan votes on YouTube. This made my job easier, because I couldn't imagine choosing a favorite remix on my own, it's way too hard!

FUN FACTS ABOUT THE CONTEST:

22 DJs/Producers joined the contest, from NY to Alabama, to Germany, Tokyo and beyond
Over 2,600 Loved Ones participated in the contest, viewing videos and voting on their faves!

DISCLAIMER: Just so you guys know, this contest was open to ALL. When I started this process, I had no idea whether anyone would participate, so I invited everyone to submit, even my friends and family. However, I wanted the contest to remain unbiased, so I let the fans vote to choose the winner without any input from me. I also asked all of the DJs/Producers to SHARE their mixes online so that the fans could vote. Some of the DJs really promoted their mixes, and some didn't. As a result, the winner who had the MOST "thumbs up" votes on their YouTube Channel is the one who won. That being said.....

More about J Aaron:

BIO: J Aaron was born in Boston, Massachusetts and started playing piano at the age of 17 under the instruction of Craig K Powe, an outstanding Musical Director and producer from NC. Not having played before, he worked extra hard to master the technique needed to become a pianist with additional help from his beloved mother. This hard work paid off and J Aaron was awarded a full scholarship to the esteemed Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA as part of the System 5 program. Being able to tour with the Boston University Gospel choir allowed a variety of opportunity to grow even more as a musician. Since then, J Aaron has been in the studio with a production company working with such acclaimed artist as Rajdulari Anthony Hamilton, Angie Stone, Eric Roberson, singer/songwriter Courtney Harrell, LovHer, and many other local artists. As a member of the amazing band TruVibe, J Aaron has been able to expand from paper to print on the Grammy bound album "Journey Of a Woman" from a phenomenal artist Rajdulari. He is now living in Delaware with the support of an extended musical family and is looking forward to continuing on this journey.

Short Bio:

James Spraggins II, affectionately known as PJ, is a drummer, composer and producer. PJ developed a love for music at an early age in the church while growing up in Bessemer, Alabama. He received a music scholarship to Alabama State University where he participated in five different music ensembles.

During his musical career as a professional drummer PJ has performed with some of the greatest musicians & entertainers all over the world like Stevie Wonder, Roy Ayers, Martha Reeves, Randy Owen (from country group Alabama), jazz saxophonists Kirk Whalum & Kelley Oneal, Marcus Miller, Peabo Bryson, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Alex Bugnon, jazz guitarist Eric Essix, Frank McComb, Byron Cage, Dorenda Clark, Kurt Carr, & vocalist extraordinaire Tracy Hamlin (formerly of Pieces of A Dream) to name a few. In 2009 PJ did his first artist collaboration with Tracy Hamlin and co-wrote the title track of her second CD, "Better Days", which went on to reach the top of the R&B charts in the UK later that year.

In 2006 PJ released his self-produced debut jazz CD 'The Light of Day'. In his words, "The Light of Day" is a refreshingly uplifting collection of songs written from a drummer's perspective."
