Happy October! In true Styled Bride fashion, we’re welcoming a new month with our latest edition of the Styled Note. The start of another season is always marked with much of the same allure as the one before it – trying to soak up all of the goodness of the season. But before we highlight what’s to come, let’s take a moment to relive September.

Filled with weddings in Philadelphia and beyond, we were able to plan and celebrate with our couples at hotels in the city (don't miss Sanjana and Kevin’s gorgeous Indian wedding), along the water overlooking Philadelphia’s skyline (we can’t share too much, but there are a few sneak peeks on Instagram), and in Bethlehem under a sailcloth tent at a gorgeous country club. Plus, we shared palettes celebrating fall’s darker hues, cakes galore, and a Styled Spotlight feature with Carolyn Brandhorst of The Papery of Philadelphia on our blog.

September was busy in the best way, but we’re looking ahead to a full month of fall in October. We’re highlighting the launch of our new Styled Day series, a host of festivals perfect for daylong dates to match the season, and a chance to meet us below!

As always, make sure to follow us on Instagram and Facebook so you don’t miss any of our moments behind-the-scenes. We hope you have a wonderful October!
A Styled Day: Due to the popularity of our Styled Spotlight series (and our own curiosity), we just launched our new series A Styled Day. In this series, we’re going behind-the-scenes with one Philadelphia based vendor each month to see how they spend their day working within the wedding industry. Of course, pictures are a requirement. First up in our series is Susan Norcross, our Wedding Director! A dog alarm clock, meetings with brides, and a night filled with Netflix and emails are on Susan’s agenda
Around Town: Our number one recommendation during the fall in Philadelphia is to go out and enjoy the season, so a date is completely necessary. Plan to make a trip to Longwood Gardens, attend Oktoberfest at Dilworth Park, or visit a new-to-you area in town. If you act quickly, you can still make reservations for Manayunk’s Restaurant Week and the Brandywine Valley Wine Trail’s annual fall festival. We’ve rounded up our top 10 ideas on our blog! {Photo via The Sweetest Occasion}
Q: How can I prepare to find my wedding dress at a trunk show?

A: Philadelphia Weddings and Lovely Bride post all of their upcoming trunk shows on their websites, so take note. Make an appointment and look into the designer's line beforehand. You'll likely have the opportunity to meet with the designer and see almost the entire line. A little research will prevent you from missing the chance to try on a gown that a boutique doesn't always have in stock. Also, trunk shows are not sample sales, so discounts aren't guaranteed. Finally, be prepared to order your gown on the spot! Don't miss these tips either.
Meet & Greet: We would love to meet you at The Bellevue Gets Engaged on Sunday, October 12, from noon – 4 pm. The Hyatt at the Bellevue is hosting the event, which will feature champagne, hors d’ouevres, a Nicole Miller fashion show, and a chance to meet Philadelphia's top wedding professionals. The true highlight, however, is the panel because Beka will be speaking about planning your wedding! Make sure to purchase tickets in advance. {Photo via The Bellevue Gets Engaged}
