SBL and geeky things in October

Welcome to winter... nearly and our newsletter here to bring information and a smile or two...

This has to be one of our favourite months of the year, its our BIRTHDAY! and we turn an impressive 9 years old! Thats a very long time for a community group and every member new and old should be proud. Don't forget you can also vote for member of the year. Text or email the name and reason for your vote to the captain.

Of course we will be celebrating and if you want to join us check out the details below. For now dig out them woolly hats ready for the cold.

SBL Events

Event #1 (Open to all)

SBL Birthday and AGM!
Your chance to shape the club for 2015 followed by games, cake and THE OCULUS RIFT!

Event #2 (Open to all)

SBL Megazone invasion
Everyone is welcome for as many games as we can fit in. £10pp (the more people the less it costs pp)

Saturday 25th October arrive 8:30 pm starts 9pm exactly

Not all events are created by SBL so here are some that we recommend:

Dark Knight Trilogy: three batman movies all in one day! thanks to the Phoenix: 25th Oct: link

Roleplaying guild event: An great new club for new and existing roleplayers. If you need space to play go grab a table: 11th Oct 6pm Secular Hall: link

Warhammer Fest: As the name suggest this is a festival of everything warhammer!: 11-12th Oct: link

Cinema Spotlight

Upcoming cinema we can't wait to see and old gems back on the big screen, the captain hunts down the best for sbl members:

The Maze Runner: A bunch of teens and kids stuck in a maze with no memory... is it part of an experiment? no one knows. The book is ok so far so there's hope for the movie: release date: 7th Oct: sbl event

Dracula Untold: Another dracula movie I hear you sigh? well it looks to be a slightly different tale. Worth a look and for those that didn't know SBL is actually a "scifi, fantasy, gaming and horror" group but thats a bit long to say. Cool style for the movie too: release date: 3rd Oct: sbl event
