Great Languedoc wines for the first time in the UK!
Villa Symposia is a small domain in Languedoc which has been created only in 2003 by Éric Prissette, the former owner of Château Rol Valentin in Saint-Emilion. With the help of Stéphane Derenoncourt, the well-known adviser to famous Châteaux in Bordeaux, he found this great vineyard and made the first vintage in 2003. Since then, with his winemaker Nenko Dunev, they have managed to build a strong reputation within a relatively short timeframe.
Their wines have been widely commented by several wine critics like Robert Parker, Guide Hachette des Vins and very recently by the Master of Wine Rosemary George on her blog Taste Languedoc. It was a pure coincidence that she released a post on Villa Symposia last week after returning from a tour in Languedoc, praising the wines from this rising domain!
You will not be able to find it in the UK except on Your Sommelier this week; so do not miss this opportunity to discover a true great Languedoc domain!
