Breaking Synergy News! 

Dear National Advisory Council, 

We wanted to give you a heads up on breaking news for Synergy which on October 13 became official and we are about to announce to the entire Synergy network. 
 
As you know, after our final conference in 2011, we entered a time of discernment to explore what God might have next for Synergy. 
 
Well we finally have our answer! Synergy has found a new home as part of the Missio Alliance network (http://www.missioalliance.org). This opportunity came about through the advocacy of Frank James and the interest of men and women of Missio in the Synergy mission. 
 
Missio Alliance is a great fit for Synergy. 
 
From the outset Missio Alliance has been committed to women and men in leadership together. They were in the early stages of developing an initiative to support women leaders when talks with Synergy started. There’s already discussion in Missio about the “Blessed Alliance.” Synergy has always been missional. This collaboration provides an opportunity to bring the Synergy message into conversation with the broader Missio audience. 
 
Carolyn James will continue to be a voice and influence. Lesa Engelthaler has joined the Missio board as Synergy’s representative. Missio's Directors, Chris Backert and JR Rozko, as well as the Missio board, are enthusiastic about this new development and warmly welcome the Synergy community into the Missio Alliance fellowship. And this exciting transition comes with the outgoing Synergy board’s blessing.
 
When will we see one another next? Missio Alliance’s National Gathering is May 7-9, 2015, in Alexandria, Virginia.  It sold out last year, so as a part of the Synergy family, we will be invited to preregister. In addition to the main gathering, there will be specific times to gather with other women leaders and also an opportunity for a Synergy reunion.  
 
We are excited about this new development and hope you will help us get the word out!
