Dancing into a new decade

And I'm learning to share!

So my birthday is this Thursday, I'm entering a whole new decade, and I am READY, BABY! I'm soooo over my twenties, do you have ANY idea how long it's been!?? I'm far too ADD to spend another moment in my 20s!! I've spent the past decade learning all about myself, and it's been quite the education. So now is when I apply it all, right? Oh wait, is there more to learn? Apparently...

THE GET DOWN is this Thursday too, and I start by leading a special birthday Dance Floor Meditation at 6:30, making it all in all the best kind of birthday a girl could dream for --- especially if you come. You may recall, it was on my 29th birthday I started hosting this dancing love explosion and I haven't stopped since.

But this year, I'm doing something I never did before in my lifetime of Birthday Whoredom history... I'm SHARING my birthday party. With another diva.

"Wait!" you gasp, "but Double Diva Birthday Parties don't exist!!!" I KNOW. No true diva would stand for such a thing... agreeing to share a spotlight less than a week out... Especially not for a birthday with a ZERO in it! Well I almost didn't, because I truly am #foreverfour and will throw tantrums to this day whenever I see fit. But something came over me.... and Lady Liz, a rockstar whose been part of The Get Down family since the beginning. whom I absolutely adore, has a birthday that needs dancing, too. And the love equation goes something like... the love you take is equal to the love you make. And so, Double Diva Birthday it is.

UGH, it's annoying to be a spiritually enlightened diva! Because I know that generosity and sharing and gratitude are the only true ways to live fully in a world with others, even though I'm often most comfortable dancing alone. Perhaps it's a sign that my 30s signifies a lot more sharing - you know, matrimony, children, billion dollar businesses... things my 20s didn't quite produce, because I wasn't quite ready. It all feels very divinely timed - I've been magnetizing a life I love filled with more and more of the people I connect with, which leads me to trust wholly the path I'm on. This decade I'll tap into the richness of other people's worlds by sharing my OWN.

Which I do recommend by the way. Every day is a birthday of SOMETHING, you should ALWAYS wear a crown. Crowns help you OWN it. Change your outfit, change the world.
