Two days dedicated to the confrontation between producers of wines fermented and aged in terracotta amphorae, from all over the world, during which time they will exchange experiences, sell their wines and participate in guided wine tastings. Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd November, the terracotta producing Firm Artenova of Impruneta (Florence, Italy) will organize, in collaboration with the municipality of Impruneta, the 1st international convention "Terracotta and Wine 2014" to be held at the historical terracotta-works Fornace Agresti. The Convention will open with a technical conference (Saturday 22nd at 11 am) entitled "Terracotta and Wine. Experiences of vinification and maturation from around the world" which will be followed in the afternoon (from 3pm-7pm), by the first guided wine tasting conducted by Adriano Zago, agronomist and oenologist expert in biodynamic agriculture. On Sunday 23rd (from 11am -1pm) the event continues with a second guided wine tasting in the expert care of oenologist Francesco Bartoletti from the “Gruppo Matura”. The event is characterised by the opportunity for producers to actually sell their wines to the general public who will be present during the two days at Impruneta to taste and buy red and white wines from the wine tasting stalls set up for the occasion. There will also be a concert and a guided tour of the Artenova workshop.
