Hello friend,

It's October again! Autumn always manages to take me through a range of emotions. I get a rush of happiness when the weather cools off just a little; which turns to sadness when it's too cold for short sleeves, then back to happy when we get those random warm days...

But October is a month of transition, so a range of emotions is to be expected. Thankfully it's also the month of "The Great Pumpkin" Peanuts special, leaves turning brilliant colors and falling off trees, and so much pumpkin flavored crap I want to cry from joy. I wanted to share a few things I've been loving or looking forward to, but
 tell me --
what are your favorite parts of fall? What are you loving lately? I'm still looking for new fall favorites so I'd love to hear from you.

I'll go first! I have some links I'd like to share with you.

THINGS I'VE FOUND AROUND THE INTERNET

FOR YOUR EYES

Photographer Alessio Albi's work makes me crave colder weather. The mood of his work just feels like autumn. He's an Italian photographer who does incredible dark, moody, and often surreal portraits. I love the tones of his work and how his color palette is a mix of fiery and cold hues.

FOR YOUR EARS

Autumn means it's also time to revamp playlists to incorporate more of bands like The Shins, Camera Obscura, Belle & Sebastian, and Iron & Wine. And... Stuart Murdoch of Belle & Sebastian did a wondrous thing and movie called "God Help the Girl" and it's. a. freaking. musical. This soundtrack has been the foundation for my playlists lately. If we were neighbors, you'd see me walking around in a beret with giant headphones on and these are the songs I'd be blaring:
  1. The Psychiatrist is In - Emily Browning
  2. "No Man's Land - Sufjan Stevens
  3. "Solid Ground" Maps & Atlases
  4. God Help The Girl - Emily Browning
  5. "Bloom" - The Paper Kites
  6. "The Curse" - Josh Ritter

FOR YOUR MOUTH

You know it's October because pumpkin beer is back along with the return of pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin pies, pumpkin cupcakes, and also just... actual pumpkins, but I'm most excited about pumpkin cider (it's an east coast brand, but if you can find it Harpoon Pumpkin Cider is my favorite).

It's too easy to find lists of pumpkin filled recipes right now, but Sarah Parker of Chasing Delicious put together a list of fall flavors that sound more tempting than another pumpkin loaf recipe. For example, these
Maple Bacon Banana Donuts are a combination of everything I love in food.

FOR YOUR HOME

I can't be the only one that feels that seasons changing means it's time to redecorate. I just stumbled upon these incredible wallpaper patterned paint rollers and it has my mind reeling. All the appeal of grandma wallpaper, without having to hang and remove wallpaper. And an added bonus: if you're living in an apartment, you can probably get away with this because you can just paint over it.

AND LATELY ON THE BLOG

- TINA and ALBERT -

A mix of sherbet colors. The yellow sunlight reflecting off water. A nod to the nautical, a collared dress, and a sunrise engagement session surrounded by boats.

- KATIE and TIM -

A rainy day wedding, peppered with primary colors, crystals, and so much love with a misty fog hanging low on the mountain sides and a lush green world surrounded them.
