Call for Volunteers:
Planting Tulips Across Heritage

Congratulations to Adam Smith, one of the recipients of the Good Neighbour Grant.

Adam has spent the grant money on 1,350 tulip bulbs from the Netherlands. The goal? He's planting them across the Heritage neighbourhood so that, come spring time, the community will be more vibrant and united.

On Thanksgiving Monday, a group of 9 volunteers began the long task of planting them across the neighbourhood. However, tulips need to be planted before the snow falls so we are seeking volunteers to help get them into the ground ASAP.

How You Can Help:

- Plant some in your own yard and/or your neighbours'

- Go door-to-door offering to plant or give the bulbs to residents

- Join us at 10 am at Sunday, October 19th for a planting blitz. Meet at the HCA office, 1654 11th Avenue.

These bulbs are completely free! Come pick some up at the HCA office, 1654 11th Avenue.

All we ask is that they get planted in the Heritage area. If you're unsure of Heritage boundaries, please feel free to ask us.

Don't worry if you don't have the best green thumb! Tulips are quite easy to plant and care for. As perennials, once they're established they will come back year after year.
We need your help getting these beautiful flowers across the neighbourhood!
