Theology of Worship | Danny Giffen (E206). Danny will be teaching on areas such as liturgy, the church calendar, music, and the sacraments. This study will focus on "why we do what we do."
Contemporary Culture | Jason Peevy & Dave Driskill (E204). Jason and Dave will be exploring topics such as politics, film and literature, current events, etc.

Baskets of Kindness | Give & Serve
We are again joining with Hope Health Center this Thanksgiving to share God’s love with many of their patients’ families. These families often are struggling and the Baskets of Kindness are a tangible reminder that they are not forgotten. For $25 per basket a family will receive a turkey with all the trimmings. Please mail your donations to Hope Health Center (4614 Carnegie Ave, Fairfield, AL 35046) or drop them by the church office. Also, you and your family can help assemble and deliver the baskets on November 22 at Hope Health Center at 9:00 a.m. The clinic is located at 4614 Carnegie Ave in Fairfield.

Annual Chili Cookoff

Our Youth ministry is hosting it's Annual Chili Cookoff on November 10 from 5:30-8:00 p.m. in The Pit. You can enter by sending your name or a team name to Sara Litten (slitten@covpres.com). The Chili Champion will be crowned by our celebrity judges. The People's Choice Award will be determined by who receives the most donations to their pot during the event. And The Great Chili Splash will be bestowed upon the Covenant staff member who receives the most nominations to have chili poured over their head! Please email Sara with your Great Chili Splash nomination (slitten@covpres.com). (Cost: $5 per person, maximum of $20 per family).

Covenant Day School Fall Festival

The CDS annual Fall Festival and Silent Auction is Friday, October 31. This is our only school fundraiser, and we need help with Silent Auction items! If you have a business or are willing to get an item donated, we need you. The more items we auction, the more resources we will be able to purchase, such as new lunchroom seating, playground equipment, and educational resources. It's a great way to advertise your business as more than 400 families are in attendance that day. All donated items are tax-deductable. Please contact Brooke Stewart at 871-8470 or bstewart@covpres.com for more information.

Children's Movie Nights

Save the dates for these Movie Nights for our elementary kids!
4th-6th Grades will have their movie night on October 24.
ALL 1st-6th Grades will come together for one final movie night on November 14.

The cost is $3 per child, and popcorn, candy, and drinks will be provided. Please RSVP to Laura Tucker (ltucker@covpres.com)

Missionary Need

Our missionary partner Bruce Woodman, founder of Impact International, will be in town November 20-24 for a Hispanic Crusade Event and is in need of a vehicle to use while here. If you can help with this need, please contact Phyllis Hamm at phamm@covpres.com or 871-7002. Thank you!

Family Promise of Birmingham

Covenant is hosting the families of Family Promise November 2-9. There are many ways that you can volunteer, from providing meals, to hosting dinner, to staying overnight at the church. If you would like to serve these families and our community, please contact Barbara Thompson at babsfthompson@gmail.com.
