Update & Events

Hello TCD Members,

September has arrived and it's time for the TCD Vintage Days and Dual Sport Events hosted at Jim Reinert's Farm in Owosso, MI this weekend. Check forum for more details.

Please contact Harry Jones if you would like to volunteer for the event or if you have any questions.  Contact Greg Crago with any questions of DS Lite event.

New for this year there will be a Saturday ride from BMW SE MI in Plymouth to the event in Owosso. Show up at 7:30am and be ready to ride with a full tank at 8am.  There will be both dirt and street routes available.

Below are some photos from past year events. It's always a good time.
Other events this month include the Thumb Run to Port Cresent State Park Sept 19th-20th.  Dave DeCook has teamed together with Mike O’Shanick for a great weekend and will be providing a venison stew and chili dinner planned for Saturday night at the camp ground.

Dave is planning on heading up Saturday morning around 10am if anyone wants to join him for the ride. Route sheets are provided on the forum.

Please check on the forum for more details (click here). Below is a picture from last year's event.
The Indiana Dual Sport ride last month also went off without a hitch (or so I hear). Dave Allgood led six courage TCD'er down through Hoosier territory where they encountered mud, dirt, gravel and vast scenic views.

John Fishbeck did an excellent write-up on the event with pictures that can be found on the BMWTCD forum (Click here).

It sounds like dirt and mud skills were tested on Saturday. Afterwards Jeff Schneider emerged as a hero for his ability to bring cold brews back to the hotel, and then celebrations of better judgment were had Sunday.
The Stockbridge All Clubs Day is Sunday September 21st. Please let President Geoff Blow know if you would like to volunteer at our booth. We will have booth there with T-shirts for sale.

BMW MC SEM Oktoberfest Celebration is Saturday September 27th from 10am – 4 pm.  Details can be found here.

New & Old business:

By-Laws committee (Dan Cogan): Officers need to approve final draft.

Media Committee (Tom Decker):

Newsletter Editor (soon to be "Media Editor"): This is an excellent position for anyone looking to serve the club and be more active. The monthly update has grown well beyond anything that I imagined.  I can clearly see enough content for newsletters to be published.
