CTSI Mentor Development Program (MDP) Begins in January 2015

  • Be part of the next generation of confident effective clinical and translational mentors!
  • Selection criteria and applications requirements can be found here. Apply by 12/1.
  • You may join the MDP graduates retreat on 11/20 to learn more about the program.
  • Topic: “The Evolving Landscape of PCORI and Comparative Effectiveness Research:  Priorities and Opportunities.”
  • This symposium will highlight these next steps and help researchers, patients, and stakeholders learn about emerging trends and priorities in PCORI’s work.  Researchers, patients, and others from across the Bay Area are welcome to attend.

  •  For researchers applying for the Feb. 12 NIH deadline - please submit a request by 11/7. Learn more
  • Up to $1500 to UCSF residents for qualified clinical and translational research expenses not covered by their mentor or other sources
  •  Funds may be used for qualified research expenses as defined by official UCSF policy and on the website
  • Residents must have successfully completed the Designing Clinical Research course or an equivalent didactic course
  • Residents may not receive the award more than once. Deadline 11/11.

  • The NIH provides funding to attract minority trainees and faculty to research careers.

Practice-Based Research Consultations via SFBayCRN
  • The San Francisco Bay Area Collaborative Research Network (SFBayCRN) is UCSF’s primary health care practice based research network, bringing together UCSF faculty and community based clinical leaders and practitioners together in mutually beneficial research partnerships. SFBayCRN supports the development and dissemination of practice-based evidence to improve primary care practices and health outcomes in diverse communities.
