Ken will be continuing our series from Deuteronomy and we will taking up an offering for our South Island Weekend Away, so please come prepared to give.

We REALLY need some help on Saturday 25th to move our gear from Westburn School to CCC.
 We are planning to meet at Westburn School at 2pm on Saturday 25th October.

Supporting the Nelson Church Plant.

   
We are thrilled to be sending the growing team to plant in Nelson. Part of our commitment is to support them financially in the first two years. We are looking to raise $45,000 for those two years in order to get this ship on the ocean! A further $45,000 will be raised by our family of churches in the Pacific Rim.

We will be having Nelson Church Plant Gift Days on:

9th November

Offering for South Island Weekend is this Sunday19th October. 
We are taking up offerings so that we can pay for everyone's food and accommodation to the camping level. If you wish to stay in the beautiful Wainui Heights or the Powell Village bunk houses there will be an additional cost. Please read the booking information sheet carefully. The remainder of our offering we are going to give to Liberty Family Church in Cambodia for their very first Church Weekend Away.

Operation Christmas Child Boxes
How is your Box Packing Going?

 
Last year 320,000 shoeboxes were packed and sent overseas by New Zealanders and Australians to find out more go to Samaritans Purse website.
 
Kings's Church family sent 60 boxes last year and this year we are hoping to send 80 boxes overseas.
 
If you didn't get a box last week Meg Poppe will have the boxes ready for you to take home this Sunday this will be your last chance as the boxes all need to be back next Sunday so they can be shipped overseas.
SHED YOUR WINTER COAT
clothing swap!

Bored with your old clothes? Own things you don’t wear? Come along to ‘shed your winter coat’ clothes swap and come away with a new collection of clothing, for free!

How it works?
Bring along your good quality items (nothing stained, torn, ripped etc) to church OR drop them round at the Watsons household (10 Janal Place, Northwood) prior to November 21st. 
Please bring your items washed, ironed, and looking nice!
(If you cannot drop items off before this event, you are able to bring them on the night)
We are looking for items such as, clothing, jewelry, scarves, shoes, and handbags - anything that you would be happy to pass on to a fellow swapper!

At the end of the evening, all unwanted items will be dropped off at a local clothing bin. 

SWAPPING WILL BEGIN AT 7:30PM, 
$5 entry fee
Drinks and nibbles will be available throughout the evening!
Open to ladies of all ages, invite your friends and be ready for an evening of mingling, and clothing galore!

TF2 is an online Leadership Training Course that is run by King's Church for the Newforntiers Churches in the Pacific Rim. Tf2 runs for 2 years and is made up of 16 modules that are 5 weeks in length. The cost is $300 per year. We are taking bookings as of next week so get in quick.  You can register your interest  at Tf2@kingschurch.co.nz

Christmas Angel Bags 


 
 
We want to give out 200 Christmas Angel Bags in December. These will go out to the communities we are involved in. We will be taking collections and donations for the bags soon. If you would like to be involved in this. Then one way is to come and make some Bath crafts at the Make Company 232d Main South Road.
