Irish Advertising Display Metrics Survey 

IAB Ireland is conducting this survey to understand the awareness, knowledge and readiness of the Irish Market for the proposed changes in Display Advertising Metrics.

Display Advertising as an industry has always had the challenge of measurement. Recently, there has been much debate about the change in measurement from Served to Viewed Impressions and this survey will allow IAB Ireland to support the industry in the adoption of this important new global metric.

The survey will take no more than 5 minutes to complete.

Social Media Workshop -  Training Review

Need to get your Social Media action plan kick-started? Or simply give your Social Media efforts dedicated focus? Here at IAB Ireland we were in that situation and needed some guidance, so we attended a one day workshop on Social Media with Steve Thompson, a UK based Digital Media Consultant & Trainer. The day also included presentations from Facebook, You Tube and Twitter on their platforms.

IAB MIXX 2014: Digital's Renaissance Moment

NYC hosted the annual IAB MIXX conference on September 29- 30, 1000 attendees gathered in Time Square to hear presentations from industry leaders including Facebook’s Sheryl Sandberg, Maurice Levy, Publicis, AOL’s Tim Armstrong, as well as attend breakout workshops on programmatic, mobile,  video and cross platform measurement.

Common themes emerged that have resonance in the Irish market,  Sandberg predicted the further growth of video with enhanced creativity.  2015 will be he “Year of the Brand” according to Tara Levy of Google, with content creation moving from story telling to story asking, from months to moments from creation to orchestration. Kevin Spacey provided inspirational insights into the commitment to risk taking and authentic story telling that made House of Cards a global digital content success.  Spacey reminded the delegates that the digital  audience “does not care about the platform, they care about the content”.
