Global Public Relations Summit 2014

In 10 days time the communications world will gather in Miami for the Holmes Report's third Global PR Summit. The event, which takes place on 27-30 October, will feature a top-tier lineup of leading authors, thinkers, marketers and communicators from more than 25 countries across the globe.

Join us at the St Regis Bal Harbour to explore the game-changing companies, people and ideas that are transforming the world of communications.

The #PRSummit's geographic scope is reflected by a genuinely international lineup of speakers from the US, UK, China, India, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Brazil, France, Sweden, Canada, Japan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and more.

Neither is this diversity limited to the speaker lineup alone. The content programme features a thought-provoking range of sessions that will explore the critical challenges facing senior communicators today.

Headline speakers include game designer and bestselling author Jane McGonigal, focusing on how lessons from the 'happiness engineers' in the gaming world can help PR pros solve the biggest challenges facing our world today and tomorrow.

Elsewhere, a group of leading humorists will come together to explore how companies can win with wit. Led by What's Trending CEO Damon Berger and Cultivated Wit creative director Brian Janosch, the session will also feature Quinn Kilbury, brand director for provocative marketer Newcastle Brown Ale.

Meanwhile, the Summit will also investigate how mass movements are started, with contributions from UN Women's Elizabeth Nyamayaro, Loving Day's Ken Tanabe and Dove mastermind Stephane Orhan

And political heavyweights such as Koch Industries Steve Lombardo and pollster Frank Luntz will also be in attendance, to help delegates navigate the fault lines between business and regulators.

More thoughtful content will come from design legend Yves Behar on brands, columnist Michael Wolff on creativity, business strategist David Meerman Scott on realtime marketing, Walmart's Deisha Barnett on authenticity and Booz Allen Hamilton VP Chris Foster on evaluation.

Specific sessions, meanwhile, will cover such topics as millennial perspectives; a
World Cup of creativity; music and brands; Olympic PR issues (including a Russian Olympic champion); SABRE winner secrets; the future of earned media and much, much more. You can view the full agenda here.

Also honoured will be the Holmes Report's 2014 Global Agencies of the Year.

The Awards come after the two main conference days on the 28th and 29th October. The Summit again gets underway on the 27th October with the half-day Independent PR Firm Forum, which will bring together leaders from the global independent agency world to discuss some of the most critical issues for growth and competitiveness.

On the 30th October, meanwhile, the Summit will feature a special Crisis Simulation in partnership with UK firm Polpeo. The half-day session sees the firm's proprietary software used to create an immersive real-world simulation, pitting participants against each other in a realistic crisis scenario.

Backed by 29 of the world's leading PR firms, the third Global PR Summit promises to be another fascinating exploration of the critical issues addressing the growth of the public relations industry, at a time of unprecedented change.
